Our sneakers have a clear agenda for 2021:

(Re)Connection

2020 was a stress test and a "call" in many ways.
The time we dedicated to design the I WILL RISE-sneaker saved our joy and was also a way for us to create a picture of the future we want to live in.
We have dedicated countless hours and full patience to create our first sneaker.
Not only is this project about the creation of fair, vegan and sustainable footwear, it also contains an important message for 2021: Re-Connection.
With the energy we have invested, we see our sneakers and streetwear as a way to re-connect humans.

I WILL RISE

The I WILL RISE sneaker is a frame within we started a conversation and a way to explore the hidden treasures of Kente-weaving that is part of the Akan culture from Ghana. We see the sneaker as an element that brings people together and it is an ongoing process and discussion of how traditional knowledge and modern street culture can connect. We are very excited about every single aspect that we learn from the the Akan art of weaving and reveal this to our customers and soulmates in a lively, transparent and interactive way.

I WILL RISE is sustainable & fair

"I WILL RISE supports Ghanaian startups and self-employed weavers by manufacturing hand made cloth and we are approaching the knowledge and tradition of the Akan weaving with care. We don't tolerate sweatshops and child labour.
Our sneakers contain the latest sustainable material inventions and are completely vegan."
